This September, Access Pro Bono is hosting Pro Bono Going Public 2011, an advice-a-thon in which volunteer lawyers offer free legal advice to low and modest-income individuals in Vancouver, Victoria and Kelowna. The event is also a fundraiser for pro bono services in B.C.; the volunteer lawyers are raising money from friends and family in the same was as runners do in charity races.
All the money raised goes towards providing free legal services to people in need in British Columbia. If you are able to donate to this important cause, please consider sponsoring Jamie Maclaren, who the Executive Director of Access Pro Bono BC and is participating in the event, or any other lawyer who is volunteering.
